Quick question, I saw the vfaq on how to change tranny, differential and transaxle fluid, but it mentions 2 fluids, I have 4 quarts of royal purple 75w 90 gear oil, could I use that in all 3?

No. You want to use a GL-4 spec oil in the tranny, and a heavier GL-5 spec oil in the transfer case and rear diff.

There are some monster threads here on the subject. Popular tranny oils are GM or Pennzoil synchromesh, Redline MT-90 or MTL, and various 75w-90 oils as long as they are GL-4 compliant. For the transfer case and rear diff the general consensus (I believe) is Redline Heavy Shockproof.

Personally, I recently switched to Redline MT-90 in the tranny and Heavy Shockproof in the transfer case and rear end, and so far I am extremely happy with it.

Edit:

Oops.. quiksiler's post reminded me...Amsoil is also a really good oil that a lot of people run, but a bit expensive and hard to find in some places. :)
