Having a few problems I cant seem to find answers too.
cars a stock 95 talon I only drove it 100 miles and the timing jumped. Car has sat about 5 months. I put a 6 bolt block in with 7 bolt head. I do have the kiggly 6 bolt crank sensor.
First problem the car wont crank , I have power at the starter but not none coming from the small wire. I checked and power is making it though the starter relay. this I can just run a jumper wire and turn it over.
I have 0 fuel pumping the pump doesn't sound like its coming on I do have power going to the pump when the key is on so bad pump maybe?
other problem I have all the dash lights on battery, brake, trans, engine even when the key is pulled out. bad ignition switch also? any input would be helpful.

Hmm sounds like some wires are mixed up. Did you have to mess with the fuse box that's under the hood? You can pull the fuel pump and bench test it. You might want to pull the starter and do the same. Most auto parts stores will test them for you. But sounds like you have some wiring issues to work out first.

Yep bad ignition switch. With the key out u should have 0 lights on but the door ajar. I'd test the electrical side of the ignition switch. Sounds like the contacts pooped out

I have worked at autozone for 5 years LOL... the fuse box only the mounting bolts were removed. the fuel pump I have the plate up I was ganna try and test it but I wasn't 100 percent on where to put the power. and the starter was tested and it worked and it will crank if I put power to the small wire.[DOUBLEPOST=1417309726][/DOUBLEPOST]

yeah I don't even get door ajar dings . the connection looks good but ill double check it.

It should have a positive and negative simple on the pump itself. Just use a battery and add power and ground. You will either hear it soinning or hear nothing. Have you checked the mpi or engine fuse? Check all your fuses.

Ignition switch powers the coil side of the relay this pulls the switch side to make contact to finish the circuit to the solenoid wire. Small solenoid then closes the circuit to the starter from battery

alright ill check the pump tomorrow and yeah all the fuses are good.

It's a Ignition switch powers a lot out circuits up when the key is turned. It's the main on and off for the cars electronics and relays. Seen bad ignition switches do some funky stuff being a professional mechanic. Good news is the switch can be replaced separate from the lock cylinder just don't use a auto zone switch. Never had luck with them lasting

iv check the relay and it seems like its working when the key is in the on im getting power though it to the wire going to the starter from what my wiring diagram shows.[DOUBLEPOST=1417310213][/DOUBLEPOST]

alright ill try the switch. Not sure if this matters the car has had the lock cylinder replaced before. came with 2 sets of keys. again I only drove this car 100 miles so im not sure all the problems it may have had.[DOUBLEPOST=1417310681][/DOUBLEPOST]thanks guys gave me some ideas to try

U should only get power to the starter wire on crank. Not run if the lock cylinder was replaced before I'd be looking at the switch may have been damaged during replacement of the lock cylinder
