:D So I just bought an: N1 4.25" tip-- 3" inlet muffler for $50.00. But the thing is that I only got the muffler. My question would be, were do I get the rest of the piping for it? Do I take it to a muffler shop and let them do the rest or what. Sorry for the ignorance but I, a newbie..... Thanks for reading.

That will probably be the best thing. The sell cat-backs, but they come with the muffler. Take it too the muffler shop and have them make a custom piece for you for you oem one. Should run you around 3-400 bucks including parts. Good Luck.

Reminds me of that commercial where the lady has some famous architect design a house around her sink faucet.:p

Do you mean that you plan to upgrade to a 3" exhaust, or do you just want to splice the muffler onto the stock exhaust?

there are 3 solutions: the cheap way, the sum what good way, and the right way. Firsth the cheap: cut off your old muffler and then go to your auto parts store and by an pipe adapter that fits both the stock exhaust and the new muffler. clamp it on and rig up a hanger and your good to go!:D the next best way is to take it to a muffler shop and have them make you a cat back. The right and best way to do it is to either buy some mandral bens and use them along with some stight pipes to make a cat back, or go to a shop that has a mandrel bender and have them make you a pipe. This is better due to the fact that noraml exhasut shopes use a crush beder and thus restrict air flow.

If you choose to go to the muffler shop or get another cat-back system, I just bought a GReddy SP2 for 304.90 shipped. If you are interested the place I got it at is gripmotorsports.com. They're in Arizona, and they shipped mine out the same day I placed the order. Either way, I hope it all works out for you.

Does any one know were they sell the flanges that connect the piping together.
(the ones that connect to the 02 etc...) . Or should I just cut them from other pipes
and make them fit to the ones I'll be making and weld them together?

Wow. Stainless or aluminized steel? From the O2 back including muffler? Let us know how it bolts up. If it works out, that's a steal.

Stainless steel Ebay special. All hangers lined up perfectly. Where it bolted to the 02 housing was a lil weird to get lined up be other than that everything went in perfect. The muffler it came with has a great tone.
