exhaust eliminating cat how to run w/out codes

95 awd want to run custom exhaust w/out a cat for racing what do i have to get to control the computer so it doesnt run lean or rich and what every else might arise with the setup
(apex the way?) new to the tuning world

all you have to do is hook up the o2 sensor. Im sure the exhust shop will know what to do.

If you don't want to have the second o2 sensor ( the one downstream of the CAT) you can build an electrical circuit that makes the computer think second o2 sensor is still there.

I have a 95 awd car I hollowed out the factory cat and put it back on havent had a CEL yet. Been that way about 8 months

I have been running a 3" DP to Thermal RD with no cat and have the oem rear o2 sensor and haven't got a cel yet.

the previous owner of my car ran over something and tore the wiring out of the sensor. Ive been driving it like that for months with no problems.

ya i ran w/o a cat for years and never got a cel from the 2nd O2 sensor. Just make a O2 bypass sim if you ever get a cel

No, as long as the stock o2 sensor is left plugged in. I run my AEM wideband in the same place.

What ^^^ said. Make an o2 simulator, I've had one on my car for 4 years. I have a bolt in my rear o2 sensor hole.

The Rear o2 sensor just "tattle-tales" on the catalystic converter's existence to the ECU. Car's performance doesn't change with or without it. I have a straight pipe(no cat) and o2 sensor removed and zip-tied to a hangar, out of the way, and the o2 bung plugged with a bolt. No check engine light(CEL) for two years now. When i first removed the "cat" I did have a CEL, and thats why I removed the sensor and plugged the bung.
