i used a multimeter and followed procedure but its digital but this is what i came up with one time it was 1 long and 3 short and then it was 2 long and 1 short anyone have a clue or suggestion im prettey sure the 1 long and 3 short was air intake temp sensor but could that make a car run like crap and slow throttle response. it takes longer than usual to climb rpms.

Idk what the flash codes are but you can always look in a haynes manual. Otherwise you should invest in a Palm III data logger. It can be used as a 1g code scanner and you can clear the codes as well. You will only spend about $30 to $60.

It is kind of hard to do with a digital multimeter, but you seem to of gotten a code 13 and a 21. 13 is intake air temp sensor and 21 is engine coolant temp sensor. The temp sensor will cause the car to be hard to start. The iat sensor is part of the maf sensor, if there is a problem with it than the car would run bad. I would start with checking the wiring from the maf to the ecu, and if that is good, look for a good maf to swap in there.

Do yourself a favor and wire up an LED/Resistor. The multimeter refresh rate could be hiding a pulse here or there. It literally takes 5 minutes once you have the LED and Resistor.
