Exhaust combonation question

I shouldn't be posting here anymore, but I'm stupid and made a mistake ordering exhaust.

So I ordered an Option racing (ebay) cat back shown here.

And I ordered a megan racing DP shown here.

Well, I'm a dumbass, and realized there needs to be a cat somewhere. . . .or a testpipe.

So with all these mix matched components If I buy a test pipe will I be alright?

The ebay exhaust comes with an adapter to bolt to the stock cat, if I buy a test pipe, will I be a few inches short because of this adapter?

Its always hard to tell if you dont have it in frony of you. For now i would say bolt everything on then from there youll see what you need

Why didnt you just go Megan racing DP and Cat Back?

Wouldn't have been that expensive..

I believe the Megan Racing DP deletes the stock cat anyway. You should be golden.

Edit: After reading the bullets from Extreme PSI, it says to get the 3 in test pipe for "perfect fitment." So yes, all those parts that you ordered should just bolt on.

I wasn't asking what the best exhaust was.

I don't really care either.

Just wanted to know if there was a huge difference and if the test pipe would fit up with the rest of this shit.

Edit: I already have the downpipe and cat back, I just don't know if the test pipe would fit.

Well it says on the site that you need the test pipe as this doesn't eliminate the cat converter like the 2g does.

Your best bet would be to fab your own test pipe, if possible. When combining parts like that, the chance that a test pipe exists which is cut to the proper length and has the appropriate angle to the flanges is slim to none.

The 2G AWD system I recently bought for my '97 GSX has a downpipe that is long enough to connect to the catback without a test pipe. Not sure if I got lucky or if that was how it was intended to be.



You can always pick up a random test pipe, and if it's not the right length or it doesn't have the right angle to the flanges, just cut it in the center and use a smooth stainless band clamp to put it back together. These clamps are as tough as nails and will butt-connect two pieces of piping together with a leakproof seal.
