Ok, so im new here on this DSM forum. I am not new to cars or FI. I have had a 2006 scion tc for a few years now and i am in need of a rebuild for my big 16g turbo. Scionlife is pretty much dead and i get most of my info on my turbo from your forums anyway( since im basically running the same setup as most of you) anyway, onto the question. I need a new turbine wheel, and possibly new compressor wheel (havent cracked open the turbo yet because i broke my C-spring pliars and my girlfriends toe(she decided she was going to watch with no shoes) when i was attempting to do this. Anyway, i have found a great local deal on a shaft, and both wheels from a EVO IX 16g turbo. Here are some pictures

So basically, the way that it was explained to me is that these turbine wheels are "reverse roation" so they will not fit most turbochargers. But i do know from doing research on your forum that almost all of the MHI 16G wheels and shafts are interchangeable(to keep it short). The shaft turbine wheel are calld TD05HR and the compressor wheel is called a 16G6. I just need to know if this will work in my Big 16g turbo and my turbo is a genuine MHI, i looked up the part numbers last night. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can't use reverse-rotation wheels in a standard-rotation turbo. That's why they're a "great local deal"....they only fit Evo VIII and IX turbos.

The good news is I'm local to you, and I stock parts to repair all 16G turbos.

oh, you are. well then in that case, i know im going to be needing at least a turbine wheel, if not an an entire shaft and compressor wheel as well. I will let you know for sure when i tear the thing apart. Do you have a shop? Is it in greensburg as well?
