I was trying to figure out how much the Evo III 16 flows in comparison to the psi its running at. Is there a way to calculate it? Maybe im saying it wrong. For Example what would it flow at 10psi and approximatley how much whp would this put down? (Hp or whp...I can figure out the numbers after that).

I was hoping maybe someone knew how to calculate it, only using the turbo and nothing else (assuming its the stock engine).
Just wondering how much ill be putting down when i run mine around 12 psi or so since i have to run it at low boost until my injectors and fuel pump get here.

Evo 3 flows 550 cfms

~144 cfms = 10 lb/min

(550/144)*10 = 38.19 lb/min

(correct me if i am wrong, but i read this while searching dsmtuners ROFL i'm not sure this is what you are looking for but thats all i got :rocks: )

The Big 16G flows that, people have seen up to 44lbs of air a minute from the EVOIII16G's I think that will make for a nice street turbo once your car can fully support it.

That MHI E316G will be orderd by me after my clutch/flywheel/dsmlink/urethanemotor mounts and someother smll stuff I have waiting go it. I actually cant wait to see what I can make the turbo do with the proper mods ! Goodluck also at 12 psi you should feel some sort of gain but not much compared to when the 16G's wake up in the upper teens lower 20's Goodlcuk

Makes my stock 21 lb/min look ohhh soooo sad. Guess I'll just have to get an EvoIII16g.

My conversions are right tho, correct? So then if the Evo has been known to flow 44 lb/min then that would equal 633.6 cfms, sounds like a winner! :rocks:

That 44 lb/min is maxed out & many wont see that (usually mid 20's for boost). Also you won't see those kinds of flow numbers without cams, headwork, SHIM etc. As for what it flows at a certain psi, basically it would just be a guess as there are to many variables. For example cams will effect the flow, intercooler, exhaust, etc, will all effect the flow, so you can't say the evoIII will flow XX @ 12 psi.

If you want some sample flow rates, with my t25 @ 16 psi, all bolt on's I saw 24 lb/min, with the evoIII @ 15 psi I saw right around 30 lb/min, now @ 20 psi I see 34 lb/min. These are with stock internals, with the cams I will be putting in I should see another 4 or so lb/min.

I couldnt get this to work. I saved it then opened it with notepad and saved that as a html and its not working.

There is a little popup at the top of the screen that you have to right click, then click "allow blocked content", it should work after that.

I think the problem was i was using netscape. I used internet explorer instead and it worked....i had to enable the pop up on the internet explore like you said. Netscape just didnt have that option...thanks!

My car is the one that hit 44.1lb/min with the Evo III 16G. It was fairly cold that day. On warmer days, I see between 42 and 43lb/min at 24 to 25psi.

I do not have any head work, and I use a stock 1G intake manifold.

I have a 1G head, 1G intake manifold, and a 1G throttle body. All stock stuff.
