EVO 8 MAF in 2g DSM - hitting 1418 HZ limit?

Anyone on here actually install a EVO 8 MAF and get it tuned/configured correctly on ECUFLASH or equivalent? I've been fighting a ghost since my install but after continuous logs pointing me to the fact it seems that the maf is being limited at 1418 HZ.. up to 1400 HZ.. fueling is great but once it pushing past 1400... things go lean. I've added fuel back via maf smoothing.. at the 1400-1600 hz range. But it only partially helped. And i believe thats cause i'm flowing MORE air than it thinks. With the previous MAF I saw it hit the 1600 hz ceiling with a 20g many times.. and ceddy mods MAFHZ2BYTE would take over from there. And I saw into the 2000 hz rate on a number of pulls. But even the MAFHZ2BYTE is being limited. To the same 1418/1419 hz wall. Is this a tuning issue or did i get a defective MAF?
