Only the 2gb require a little grinding to the buttom of the knuckles to have the bracket swing in to place. For 1G and 2ga no mod to the knuckles is needed.

here's 2gb knuckles with bracket.

Here's some updated pictures on how it would look like on the 97+ knuckles after the grinding and final stage.

Thanks KMV! Nice to finally see some pictures. I'm still not sure if I want to do this or swap on the knuckles from my 96.

What does that change? Less grinding or just looks?

More grinding work and looks uglier unless Vette can show us some pic that it doesn't.:sneaky:

housegsx if I were you I would just grind the knuckles your only removing alittle bit of material off and takes about 5min to do with a angle grinder. swapping the knuckles would take hours.

Finish pics on a 2gb

yea $670 for 2 shipped to the united states...:ohdamn:

these brackets are a good thing, although I still believe there is a way to do this without cutting the knuckles down using different rotors and pads but I have been so busy.

Yeah, Im not really busting anyones balls over it. It just looks like a lot of work. Id rather bolt on. But its a good idea. And I go over there, 2-3 times a year for work. I might pick some up.

Hey, clocked downwards looks a lot better then I thought it would.

KMV made two different type's of brackets.

The first design used the ball joint bolts as the mounting points and pointed the caliper pretty much forward.

The second is a different design and clocked the caliper downwards. On a 1G, the bracket can be flipped and the caliper can be clocked upwards. You can do the same on a 2G but with more grinding.

Correct. If and when i go to do service to them, ill end up getting the hubs from japan, but for now, this was a more frugal option.

i still think it looks weird, why doesnt it look like the previous pics if these are the same brackets?

bNasty its alot of work just to have them clock upward(trust me) and you not gaining anything. Does having it clock a bit down that bad to you? even ferrari have there calipers clocked down even lower. Go tell ferrari that there calipers looks weirdLOL

You must have read a lot of goosebumps novel as child or some thing to come up with these goosebumps brembos :thumb: You have a 2ga which require no modding to the knuckles. so why would you want to do more work just to have them upwards?

I like the look a lot better, but i dont really want to weaken the upper part of the knuckle so i just decided to mount them the way they were intended.
