Ok, did some more research. These brackets will work with either but with the larger evo X rotor it won't clear my wheel, so will keep hunting for the evo 8/9 calipers.

Man reading 31 pages is work. I will be doing this upgrade real soon. And I'll document in detail so I can add to this mega thread
You mean a M10x1.0 bubble flare male to M10x1.0 inverted flare female?Has anybody found an adapter that works for those of us running stock brake lines and the 3g mbc?
You mean a M10x1.0 bubble flare male to M10x1.0 inverted flare female?
Has anybody found an adapter that works for those of us running stock brake lines and the 3g mbc? I see a lot of talk about adapters that 'might' work but does anybody have a link to one that they are currently using or know to work?
That adapter will not work. You are better off getting the lines custom made like I did. I had to bring the stock fittings for the bigger MC and the stock fittings from my car and have the hose shop set me up properly using the two different types of fittings and it worked out perfectly. The thread patterns going to the bigger MC are different as well than those on the stock MC. The flare styles are obviously different too.Exactly, anybody?
This was not the case on my car 95 nor my friends 97. Both had the same exact stock booster. I went with a bigger booster anyway however I still think it is not necessary to change to the bigger booster and alot of guys have just changed to the bigger MC, left the stock booster and have been fine. I have not heard any issues with very hard brake pedals or anything as such. I think the Bigger MC with the brembos was certainly a needed upgrade. You can pm the guys who have just changed out the MC to confirm for yourself. Some guys have even put on better bigger brake callipers on their cars than the Brembos, changed the MC only, kept the stock booster. and have not had issues that I have heard of. Still check for yourself and consult with the guys who have done it this way.Well, the old car is a 2GB and the new one is a 2GA, I suppose I could check and see if there's any difference in the booster.
My DSM is a 2gb GSX, and i have no need for a bigger brake booster, the brakes fell amazing and i was worried i would have to upgrade further, or even ss lines. But im happy to report my brakes do not feel spongy they feel factory except they grip like a gorilla from hell and i barely have to press the brakes during normal driving.
Its not accurate. My AWD is not (8+9). It is the next size down.(7) I will take pics of it for you guys.JNZ Tuning have the lines for 2G ABS and 2G non-ABS. I bought them along with the 3G master cylinders for 2 of the 2Gs - one runs Evo Brembos all round, the other runs Evo rears and 3kGT fronts. I don't know if they keep them on the shelf, but they can definitely make them.
I use the original boosters that were on the cars - they work fine. One car is an early vented rear brake car, the other is a later 95 with solid rears. According to CAPS, very early cars with OPC C15 had a larger booster (8+9). The same booster part # is spec'd for all other 2G AWDs, all years.
