whats up? well i got a knocking from the engine and well i took the engine out thinking that something needed to be replaced, and well i took of the oil pan and looked at the rods and crankshaft and one of the rods screw hit the wall but just barely and the rod is loose to like theres a gap between the crank and rod. can anyone help me with this? i got eagle rods

Take the rod to your machine shop and get it inspected, If they say it's good or they fixed it than put back in and retorque it per spec along with the rest of bottom end, Is the block damaged?

Replace the bolt's aswell

If your talking about a ding on the cylinder wall you will have to have it bored or hone depending on the extent of the damage. Is the bearing still there? Generally if something like this goes bad you should not reuse the rod again.

If only 1 rods damaged that strip the motor down and go back over everything and stated above get new rods. If your rod has a dent in it then somethings wrong!
