2G Electric Water Temp Gauge Replacing ECU Gauge

For a 2G (4G63),

I will be using an AEM water Temp gauge in the 1/8 NPT hole in lieu of the dummy sensor in cluster.

The ECU water senor wires broke off extremely close to the sensor and I am unable to repair them. Can I use the 5v wire from the AEM gauge, connect it to the ECU pin, and simulate the sensor?

Not unless you have a standalone system and know the scaling of the AEM sensor.

Are those threads NPT??? I thought they were all BNPT.

The Dsm holes are 1/8bspt but the 1/8npt sensor threads right in.
