Well I just noticed not to long ago my temperature gauge isnt working, and I was just wondering if anyone might no why or where to look for problems on a 420a. I dont no to much about gauges and couldnt find anything in the haynes manual. So any help appreciated thanks

Either you coolant temperature has gone bad or your thermostat is stuck open. Change either of those and if the problem still there change the other and then you should be fine unless its the gauge itself. Both sensor and thermostat are really cheap, something like $10 each.

There are two temp sensors, a primary and a secondary one. Both are located on the thermostat housing. The temperature gauge uses the signal from the smaller secondary temp sensor. If that sensor goes bad then the gauge won't work. If I were you I would start there. Good luck!
