Ok so My GSX, Temp Gauge, has been acting funny, the needle only comes just past the first line and sometimes stays between C and that line. Car isn't acting funny fans do kick on like they are suppose to but it just won't pass that line any farther. I've been reading some posts and states that it could be the thermostat. I do know that when i mash the thing it goes up a lil higher but not much. Any Ideas.

You have a coolant temp sensor that your ECU watches and you also have a coolant temp sensor that sends its inputs to the gauge on your dash. More than likely the sensor going to your gauge needs replaced, heres a diagram to help you identify which on it is on your t-stat housing.

i had a problem like that once. My thermostat had a failsafe in it and when it went out it stuck open so my car never got to full operating temp. When i drove it hard the temp would go up a little and then settle back down.
