ECMLink v3 cable with dsmlink v2.5

Will this work? A friend of mine told me it would, I would just have to use the v3 software and configure something on the option menu???

Need some input. I looked on the ECMLink wiki

V3 software allows you to use v3 cable with v2

This is taken from the website, but I was almost positive the software allowed it.

In order to combat counterfeit efforts, our V2 2G DSMLink adapters were custom made with hardware that these cables do NOT have. ^^ I stand corrected. The 1G v3 cable will work with 1G v2. And good find

I think this is resolved.

The 2G V3 cable doesn't work with the 2G V2 DSMLink regardless of which version of the client software you use.
