Ok guys, my brake light is staying on and Ebrake does not work! I tried to tighten the cables. The brake is much tighter but does not work still. I noticed that when I slowly pull up my ebrake the light on the cluster gets brighter. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening and how to get my ebrake working.

Check your rear brakes, make sure they are not worn. How does the brake handle feel? Do back brakes not engage at all or not enough? Do your regular brakes work in the back? Check the brake fluid level, it sets off the light when level is low.

Man I have this exact same issue with the difference mine works there are only 2 posts in this forum about this! One is mine several months ago and the other almost 9 years old LOL
I changed calipers, pads, fluids, retighten e-brake cables changed the e-brake switch with no avail I'm still having the same issue almost year now. If some could help us out here would be great...

EDIT:http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/443741-parking-brake-warning-light-wont-shut-off-2-a.html This is my thread with a link to the older thread!! At the end of the thread I respond that the light shut off but as soon I turned the engine off it came back.

No you probably have 2 different problems one is the brake light and the other is ebrake not working I don't think those two are related in your case. My ebrake works just fine the only think that a haven't done is to change my rear brake rotors. Could this be the culpit?

Can't you just do the same thing Homer Simpson did and cut a block peice of electrical tape to place over the brake light...except he used it for the check engine light ROFL JK. Sounds like it can be either an electrical or sensor issue. I've only had that light stay on when my brakes are badly worn. I would look at the shop manual electrical section and locate the sensor(s) and wiring connected to the e-brake.
