"EGR bung already weled on"? I didn't know dsm routed egr gases after the turbo to the intake manifold...?

Just make sure your internal wastgate flaper opens the full 90* it needs to, or eles you WILL get boost creap and boost spikes.

You sure it wont fit the stock DP? People have said the Megan O2 that this looks exactly like fits the stock DP.

Interesting advice, considering any Mitsubishi actuator will only permit the wastegate flapper to open 1cm to 1.5cm at the most. Nowhere near 90*.

I installed one of those housings on a customer's car a while ago. In order for it to fit the EvoIII 16G that was on his car, I had to use a die grinder to remove some of the material around the turbine outlet flange as it was about 5mm too small the entire circumference of the outlet.

I also opened up a good portion of the wastegate outlet with die grinder as well. It's surface area is even smaller than the stock 1G housing; it must be modified before installation.

Another issue was the way the entire flange that mounts to the turbo was shaped; I had to grind the area nearest the wastegate flapper arm (the part visible from the exterior of the housing) or else the wastegate couldn't open at all without hitting the housing. It's like the flange they use doesn't even match up to a stock Mitsu turbo .

Lastly, I had to spend a good bit of time with a flat iron and some emory cloth sanding the flange flat so it would seal up when mounted to the turbo. I don't know if the welding when it was built warped it or what, but the thing wasn't even CLOSE to sealing in stock form.

I'm not sure if all tubular o2 housings are like this (even the name brand units) but this piece required some extensive machining before it was useable. If you have the time to wrap up in it, that's fine....but by having my own shop, time is money- and what my customer didn't realize was that by the time it was all said and done, he could've bought a name-brand o2 housing for the money in labor that I wrapped up in making this part fit.

It's your call!

I have a similar o2 housing, only it is atmosphere vented. I have it bolted to a megan racing downpipe and it fits perfect. Getting an aftermarket downpipe with this mod is not a bad idea so your airflow is increased throughout the entire exhaust, and not just the o2 housing.
