read this:

and look at the pics on their website.
same pics, same state, think it's punishment racing.

group buy for tuners till the end of the month i believe so you can get it for $125 shipped.

no idea about quality, gain, fit, etc. i haven't upgraded my O2 housing yet.
anyone own one of these and can provide some feedback? i was looking at this myself. it's cheaper than an evo3 housing.

Yeah, mild steal and really shity welds. I would just buy a quality product so you dont have to worry about it later. If you spend a bit more nor then you wont have to buy another one down the road.

boostedinaz is right, those are some pretty shitty welds, the thing looks like it was hacked together. You can get away with welding that isn't that good on pieces that don't see a lot of heat, IC pipes, intake pipes etc, but when a bad weld is heated up real good (like 1500*F from exhaust gasses) it will crack and break real easy. The part that gives away a bad weld job is all of the slag that is on the rest of the part (slag= all the little bits of weld that are scattered around) from my experiance slag like that only comes from welding something thick and not having enough power for good penetration, instead of traveling through the metal it simply beads off. This probably occured because the turbo and DP flanges are pretty thick and require a high setting to get a good weld, the problem is that trying to weld something very thick to something very thin (exhaust pipe) usually results in blowing through the thinner metal. The person who did the welds is obviously a novice/beginner and he/she turned down the power so as not to blow throught the exhaust pipe. The welding can be done, don't get me wrong but it requires a bit more finess rather than point and squeeze mig welding. My advice would be to stay away from it, you can get a way better o2 mani for about the same price with much better quality.

First off this is one of our housings, your better off buying directly off our site as we reserve the best of the housings for direct sale.

Secondly as I have stated in other post's we have upgraded our welder's and quality of the weld's. We have run these same housing's on our shop cars for over two years and have never had an issue with cracking of these steel or welds. Yes they are mild steel, but what we are offering is a low cost option.

Lastly we will be offering a stainless steel o2 housing starting next week which will be of a much higher quality for between $200-$225 to cater to customers who would prefer something a little more "refined" ;)

Why not upgrdae the picture then also?? If I were a company I would find the best looking item I have made and use that for pics, since that is what everyne on the net will be using for referance. Not to bust your balls, but that just makes sense.

My buddy (icedearth15) has a Punishment Racing 2.5" O2 housing with dump, and it's a very nice piece of work. I would reccomend them. Now, the one on eBay, I wouldn't buy, but Punishment's newer hosuings seem to be very, very nice.

"Spaceball" Do you have one of thier o2 housings? Have you seen one in person? Do you know anyone with one? If your answer to those questions are no then your great and all so helpful post means nothing.

I have the punishment Racing o2 housing, its mild steel and painted with high temp. paint. The paint stays on and does not meld off. I love mine I have their external dump 2.5" verson. I would buy it if your on a budget. Mine come within a couple of days and you cant beat the price. If I had to buy another o2 housing again I would go back and buy the punishment racing piece.

i bought the e-bay one last monday and i'm expecting it any day in the mail. when i get it i will try to upload pics of the quality and let y'all know how it works on the car.

i also have the punishment racing 2.5 in downpipe made of mild steel. i have had no problems with it it has been on for about 10-12 month and it was a great performance upgrade. :thumb:

well i recieved my o2 housing in the mail today and i must say there were some VERY shoddy welds on it. my o2 bung was uneven and the threads were melted. there are many pinholes throughout the welding. :thumbdown

i guess i'll have to e-mail them about getting an exchange
