I just picked up a holset hx35 and was looking to run with a bep .55 housing instead of t3. I also wanted to run external gate of the o2 recirculated because I found out I don't really like to dump. Anyway I found this on Ebay and I was wondering how you would bolt this up to the downpipe. Some sort of adaptor?
This is the only thing I really feel safe getting on ebay because it's just SS.

yes, the round flange at the bottom is called a v-band flange, your best bet would be to buy another V-band flange and clamp and weld a v-band to your downpipe then use the clamp to hold them together. Certain V-bands such as those made by Vibrant Performance have a male/female, so depending the type they used when making that o2 housing, it will dictate which one you need. Most likely they used a generic flat faced Vband. For Vband flanges check atpturbo.com they have a ton of flanged and fab related stuff.

On ebay I found another o2 housing and it looks exactly the same but for only $80. Has anyone ever bought anything from this dealer "Boombop"? I also need to know if that v-band kit was the correct one. On the bottom side of the o2 housing it is flat.

Thanks for any help.

Following the general rule of "a pipe is a pipe" I may buy one, if I do I'll post in here with results.

Yeah that's what I thought, but not to discourage you but I also thought about the quality of the welds and the actual design of the pipe running the correct direction to meet the downpipe.
