@amsrn13

Did you contact Dynatek and relay the information I gave you above? Was this resolved, and if so what was the outcome?
I did, I finally gave up and said f*** it.If my new one craps out on me im gunna raise hell. Id like to know how all of the adapters test good but dont work in the car.

Did you reference my RA number? What did they say?

I mentioned your situation in an email , they actually never got back to me, so I called and got the run around. The usual, did u try this, how was it wired etc, I don't have the energy to If my current box craps out.... I won't get off the phone until they send me a new one. My car has been running great since the new one was installed so time will tell I guess.

Well since I have the ODD DUCK 1990.....Ok Vegas, go ahead.......Well anyway, my Arc2 box has worked really well, mounted back by the Brake Master cylinder but I don't use the tach adaptor that everyone has problems with. I am tapped into the stock tach adaptor, but before the Arc2. If it ever craps out, I can unplug it and plug in the coil packs and keep on going. I won't have a tach if that happens, but I will be glad to just continue to where ever I was headed. I hate hearing these horror stories about customer service though, that's pretty bad.

Their customer service wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible. At the end of the day they supported their product, and corrected the issue I complained about.

I get the feeling amsrn13 didn't push very hard for them to correct the problem, or speak to the tech I specifically mentioned. Email, BTW, is probably the worst way to resolve these kind of issues, so I'm not suprised it wasn't corrected via those means. When they test their component and say it's good, I can see how that would have them asking the customer additional questions regarding the problem. In this case, however, some of their tach adapter boxes are just junk, which is why I went out of my way to 1) call them and tell them about the problem and 2) give amsrn13 the fuel needed to hopefully convince their techs.

Aside from the tach adapter box being hit or miss, their CDI boxes seem to work great. If you're not lazy like me and wire the box into the harness like BastardDSM said, it's a non-issue.

No I agree with you, im also lazy. Im sure if I pressed the issue they would of sent me one. The fact that they require you to jump through hoops bothered me a little. Im sure they are aware of a problem with this adaptor. Seems to me like they are hoping Ill just give up so they wont have to send me one. Aem on the other hand warrantied my methanol failsafe gauge and sent me a new one no questions asked after sending them the old one....

how are people hooking the 2 step (purple with white stripe) wire to their dsm. are ya using the clutch switch or the brake switch?im wanting to hook mine up to. wanna see how the 2step compares to the dsmlinks 2 step?
