Yes, he sounds full of shit. Who the hell converts a turbocharged AWD to N/A RWD?

apparently he does... granted hes also the guy who cut a brake line to stop the pads from grinding...

I had a similar one except it was "how did you dent your hood like that"
I actually saw a guy the other day with his hood bump beaten down and i asked him why he did that, he claimed the previous owner did it and he was trying to bang the dent out of it!
I just had to walk away... he was trying to bang the dent out of it

Nobody can possibly be that stupid.
The guy doing the talking to you was trying to cover his ass on a horrible experiment that failed miserably.

how about the guy on here that started a thread asking where the firewall was located on his car... And he had problems locating after being told where it was... classic...
i was talking about my 92 gsx at a party one day and how im going through a total rebuild cause the car sat for so long blown up... this guy (who is a stealership mechanic, by the way) begins to tell me how hes building a celica gt for racing... catches my attention right away... he tells me about his brakes, exhaust, intake, and all this stuff, but then he drops the ball on me... he told me that his celica used to be awd turbo like my gsx, he just converted it to rwd n/a so he could use it as a daily driver... hutawhat? i said, "im pretty sure they never made awd celicas... and the gt was never turbo..."to which he replies "oh, yea... it was a gtx... i just switched the badges so people wouldnt know!"
Technically it IS possible using in house parts, but who the heck is going to ruin a classic celica and an alltrac to make a reliable daily driver? There were AWD Celicas. It was the GT-Four.
RWD, carb motors. ^.^
