DO NOT: Edit values on the spreadsheet on Google docs.

Hit "File" - "Download As" - And save to your desired format. This way people are not editing data in the sheet while others are working on it. Only save the file, then edit values for personal use!

Though you can add and edit content through Google docs. Don't USE it through Google docs.

Here I have assembled a basic spreadsheet. Soon I hope to add more myself, as well as input from the DSM community.

Feel free to alter data as a whole or add in useful sections yourself. Add pages and add or alter content at your desire. But don't remove someone's content or credit.

Because this is for the masses. Include a description to what you have contributed in a post. So that I may add it below.

Be sure to add your screen name to the last page to give your self credit. :)

In this sheet:

  • ECMLink Global Fuel Calculator. For Gas and E10/70/85/100 (Input injector size to obtain a global fuel %.) Also compensates Injector size for Ethanol based fuels.

  • Target Horse Power to Injector Size Calculator. Generalized number. Not exact but it will get you where you need to go.

  • Injector Size to Horse Power Calculator. As simple as it sounds. Convert size to a general horsepower range.

  • Injector Flow Rate for PSI changes. Used for calculating flow rate changes with fuel pressure changes.

  • ECMLink Full to Lite Converter. Copy Min/Max OCT tables from full to light in seconds.

Let's make this the one stop place to find data. Go go go!

Can not wait to see where this is in a few days. I was hoping others would have already jumped on board to make this a one stop shop so to speak.

I have always wanted to see a lot of these calculations in web form (PHP), kind of like this website.
Wallace Racing - Automotive Calculators

I'd also like to see fuel pump size info included, as in what pump will support how many lb/min.

I started playing around with PHP and will see what I can come up with for some basic calculators. If you feel an Excel sheet would be easier/better, then I can work with that as well. I would suggest just getting ideas down in the Google doc but doing the final development in Excel so you can make it more visually appealing, have extra functions/features (e.g. conditional formatting on results cell to show if a value is a good result, or possibly could cause an issue in the setup), and you can lock cells to keep people from editing certain cells.

Brian... the LinkTools app/spreadsheet that I showed you guys now has a page (maybe two) of calculators and converters for doing all kinds of this stuff. I basically took all of the E85/global fuel calcs out of my original spreadsheet from a few years ago and rolled it into LinkTools. It also now has calculators for MAFComp adjustments, ECMLink scaling parameters, estimated fuel/air flow, required injector size, fuel flow measurements, etc.

I'll get an updated copy to you and Eric soon; please pass along any of these types of calculators that you think we should incoporate into that as well as this web-based reference.

Well, my idea was a web based utility that could be altered and added to throughout the course of, well, however long it is visited. And then downloaded for offline use. So that you may view and edit information during the tuning process. As well as not require the need for internet connectivity. Even though I have wired & wifi internet in my garage for All-data. More to help the community. Those who don't have that privilege.

Calan, Damn. You are way ahead of me on this.

I"ve got an excell spread sheet that with a few cells you fill in will give you a really close estimated pulse width at bothfull vac and wide open under full boost. ONe of the haltech guys constructed it and from the testing i've done with it it comes so close to the actual values i've entered in my car during tuning that i've been waiting to get a chance to use it for an actual tune. I know you guys running DSMlink don't actually get to enter a true pulsewidth, but i figure i'll add it up there and you guys can probably still make some use of it

I was curious if the injector size vs hp calculations in the spreadsheet are for engine, or wheel hp?

Hey there Turboglenn, I would be really interested in looking at that spreadsheet.... Ive seen quite a few different ones already, but still like seeing others where I can. We have one for our WereWolf software that does a pretty damn good job with our VE tuning and our logs.....

Not sure how much of it could be converted over to work with the Eclipse ECU or even the EVO ECU for that matter but here is a link to one I used quite a bit when I still had my 04 STI. Probably the most extensive spreadsheet i have ever seen/used. Has a lot of things someone could "run with" for ideas to add to their own spreadsheet and probably a good starting point for some of those ideas.

Anybody know how to COMPUTE AirFlowPerRev? Or are we left with guesstimating.
