drop in power when i hit the throttle.

ok so i went and got the right ecu for my 1992 gsx. b4 not knowing i had put a non turbo ecu but it ran ok, no lagging or anything just ran really lean and when i would come to a stop it would idle so low it would almost die and id have to feather the gas to get it going agian. so after i put the right ecu in it ran perfect, perfect idling and everything. i was sh*t low on gas so i had my girl get me some gas in a can. she comes back with regular and i put it in not thinking it would really harm anything just run shitty. after i started driving it it drove funny, when i go to accelerate it starts off good and boosts great but sometimes it just cuts out for a sec, like when you run outa gas and your cars trying to pump the gas but cant. or when a car has a governor in it and u reach a certin speed and it just cuts out, its almost exactly like that but it happens at random speed when i gas it. so i thought it was just cause the low grade gas in it. but its been two days and i been putting premium in it and its still doing it. also it still idles really low when i come to a stop but i don't have to feather the gas to get it going, its a instant response from the throttle now. if anyone has an idea of what it might be please let me know. thanks

It's possible that either your fuel filter got choked from build up or the filter bag on the pump is covered in sediment from running very low on fuel.

Bet your system remapped itself with that regular fuel and it's gonna take a while to remap itself back to when you returned to premimum. Happened to me when I switched fuel - loss of power and idle issues until I got rid of that tank of junk and went back to what I ran before.

ok, im going to change the fuel filter today hopfully. can i change the filter bag on the pump or do i have to replace the whole pump?

i changed the fuel filter and spark plugs today and it still cuts out when i gas it and still has idle issues. its not a vacum leak i checked that already.
