Im sitting at work bored, so i bust out the vinyl...ive always had this idea, but never really drew up anything, so i gave it a try.

The idea is to have my new carbon fiber hatch painted. (The vinyl repersents bare carbon fiber) It flows so nicely, and is a very unique look

Another idea, which im most likely going to do 1 of the two, is do it in white vinyl. Or, white Carbon Fiber vinyl, its pretty nice stuff. Also, ill be trying to have an overlay over the center tail light section, or just black it out to match...ill come up with something cool.

So what are your opinions?!

I looked at it and looked at it, I wanted to like it, but something was holding me back...then I realized it was your times listed on your profile... 14.8? 98mph? Sigh...I suppose a guy has to have his priorities though. It just reminds me too much of my brother's civic that had paint, a body kit, rims, huge wing, stickers, and a bone stock dx motor. To each his own.

I am curious as to how it would look with the center tail section blacked out aswell?? Photoshop anyone, anyone, bueller, bueller...

...14.8 after driving it to the track after it sat for 2 years un-run, on 100% stock parts, dry rotten tires, the entire hatch filled with random parts and tools, and a blusted clutch accumulator that wouldnt let me shift. that 98 mph trap speed is the...4th highest t25 trap speed on the time list? top 10 fwd i believe? pulling a 14.8 out of that is pretty damn good driving.

trust me, there is big plans for this car-i have a spare room full of parts, and a ton of stuff at JusMX141's shop waiting to go on bud....I dont see how having a carbon fiber hatch is ricey-less weight in the back so the rear end is a little stiffer for a better launch isnt a bad thing.

Im stealing it

ha, your car is already black-the CF would blend in.

It's a decent idea, just looks a little out of place when looking at it from the tail lights. Overall good uniqeness though ;)

well, the cf hatch would be black the entire way across, i figure if i did something with the tail light section, it would flow a little better

Looks good since you are a Steelers Fan..Ha Ha

Black out the lights & maybe continue the black to fade into the bumper.....Carbon hood as well

I'm not sure if I like it or not. I would definitely do the white section with vinyl so you can pull it off if you don't like it, but it could come out pretty cool looking.

yea, i dont want to paint it, vinyl is the way to go.

HA, Steelers fan my ASSSS!!!SAINTS ALL DAY!

i dont want to take it down the bumper, the center section light curves inward and would flow pretty nicely in stopping there. I mite even only do the orange section of the lights.

I think the CF hatch without vinyls would look fantastic. Ive never seen this done before so DO IT! ;)

thanks dudes, ill be layin' down the vinyl after i get my glass installed!

Better get that steelers sticker out of your garage then..HAHA

I like it. Definately do it with vinyl. What would it look like if you vinyl'ed the top of the spoiler with white as well? I'd be curious to see that as well.

Just out of curiosity, are you installing the factory glass in the CF hatch or are you going with plexiglass?

i dont really wanna mess with lexan right now...im broke. I havent really ruled it out, but being that this car will also be driven everyday, im shying away. Im still dropping a good bit of weight with just the hatch being cf
