I really think the readout on the pocketlogger is accurate and untampered by the AFC.

Nope, the SAFC intercepts the MAS signal and alters it according to your correction factors before it hits the ECU. So any adjustments to the SAFC will cause the ECU to see, and report via the OBD-II port, the modified airflow signal. This means that you have to back calculate to the actual airflow.
