so i bought this talon and have been posting on my motor swap.
but today i ran into a brick wall that stoped me in my tracks. both cv axles are stuck in the trans and will not come out i had a 3 ft pry bar on them i pulled with all my might. what the hell is going on here? anyone els had this problem? any help would be great thanks guys
oh yeah.. its a dogbox racing stage one awd trans that only has 200 miles on it dont know if that matters

If you have an intermediate shaft on the driver side, it should just slide right out when you unbolt the carrier bearing. If it doesn't You may have it jammed against something so it isn't sliding out straight.

I've found sometimes the retaining clip groove in the inner CV joint splines is screwed up on the passenger side axle. You've probably marred up the hole that the seal presses into the case, because the inner edge of the groove becomes rounded, and the more you try to pull the axle, the more it pushes out on the clip. If you have a couple of long straight picks, you can sometimes push the axle out from the back while pushing the clip with the picks. I've actually had the clips come out with teeth marks along the outer edge from the splines cutting some off the clip. If that happens, make sure to fish all the metal bits out.

haha ok your right that bracket that held up the cv axle on the driver side was what was holding me up LOL good call i feel like an asshole anyway i havnt even tryd to get the other axle out yet i got the trans out and ended up geting the good motor in my awd so now its just hooking everything up and puting the trans in im gunna take a ride out to Extreme PSI after i get everything set up and im gunna buy a new fly wheel and a new bunch of intercooler piping and couplers i gota take my 14b and my 16g to dogbox tomarrow to have them swap the part that the return line bolts to im gunna post a few new pics in a little while

thanks everyone for the advice i'll let you know what happens tomarrow when i get done with it if i ever get done with it and that dont be a ####y drive it on thing is why the car is in shambles the kid cross threaded everything and over torqed the rest

Very important part of that quote that I forgot to mention: It generally only applies to disassembly, not assembly. HUGE difference.
