Cruise Control erratic surging

I have tried adjusting cables, checking vacuum lines for leaks, searched all over forums. After setting the cruise control speed the cruise rarely will hold the speed steady. I have a 90 Talon AWD turbo engine, computer, and cruise control cable/vacuum diaphram assembly in my 94 Eclipse that originally had a 1.8 in it. The car still has the cruise control computer from the 94 1.8. Does anyone no if the cruise computer is different between years/ turbo non-turbo models? And where could I find the correct one to buy?

Are you running a stock turbo because many times aftermarket turbos will cause surging and the cruise control cannot compensate for the increased airflow and boost.

I put a new 16g I bought on the internet. I am using stock intercooler/intercooler piping. I think my stock BOV might be leaking, it vents to intake(factory). Could a bad BOV cause this problem?

The surging can be pretty bad at times, I have even tried installing a vacuum reservoir to slow the amount of time it takes to open the throttle with no real results.

Mine does the same...my solution, im going to remove it haha. I can be driving in a straight line on a flat road and it will fluctuate and start to boost then die off..... its weird. So i never use it and i plan on just removing it.

Mine always did the same thing unless I was on a perfectly flat road. Mine would go as high as 8lbs of boost sometimes and jump 10mph.

That is crazy, the best I have been able to get it to work so far is when the vacuum line had a crack and would not hold vacuum. It would hold steady but when you set the speed the cruise speed would be a few miles and hour slower than your intended set speed. Also I could not increase speed with the cruise contro increase switch.
