im starting this forum like a poll. i want to know (and sure others too) how many of you tuners have actually gotten crank walk on there 2g and wanna hear all the people that havent. please just leave a reply if u have gotten it or not. thanx-greatly appreciated

just wanna see how common everyone makes it seem

1995 TSi with 63k - checked it today and I have about 1/8" of walk...know anyone with a 6bolt?:D

All this talk of crankwalk has me rather nervous about my 99 GS-T. It seems almost random as to who it hits.

Did Mitsubishi ever actually acknowledge this problem? Or are they blaming it on owner "abuse" like Subaru does with WRX 5spds?

I thought real heard about Crankwalk before i bought my 97 GSX. In the end i figured..shit if its going to happen then happen. This car has been awesome to me so far since i have bought it. No sign of crank walk with 77,000 miles on it. "Knock on wood" Dont let crankwalk get in the way.

i dropped my oil pan today to have a look. I wanted to be 100 percent sure that my car sucks. And i was right. My #3 bearing was almost pure copper. It looked horrible. I put new bearings in hopefully this will hold me off till july when i can put my 6 bolt in.

I had Crankwalk on my car when i bought it at 60k. O well its really not that expensive to have a new engine put in, well in comparison to some others. Plus gives you an excuse to get a built race engine.

Walked at 56,000...

Then again at 69,000 (shitty rebuild by mitsu dealership)

Experiencing cw symptoms again at 104,000 (6 bolt here I come!!)

Ive actually walked 3 times... 56k, 69k, and now at 104k. Waiting for the motor to eat itself alive then I will buy a 6 bolt.

i have killed 2 of them, on my 3rd 7 bolt. 80k on the first one and 50k on the second.

if/when this one dies i am going with a 4g64 stroker!!!

Poor

1996 Talon AWD. 103k miles, no crankwalk.

However, even though it is a '96, it has some whacky '95 engine that has a totally different timing belt tensioner than all other 2Gs. Anyone else have a car like this?

I plan on keeping the car a long time. It'll probably have a 6-bolt down the road. But I'm going to run this whacky 7-bolt until it breaks. :)

My 97 GSX at 88K miles did a Carl Lewis on my ass. Replacing the CW motor with a 6 bolt jdm motor.
