first of all i'd like to say thanks to everyone for all the info i've learned over the last few years... and still never contributed... but thats only because theres better people to answer the questions... i just bought a 95 talon.. fwd tsi.. and i had it runnin for about a month... and i filled up the gas tank.. and went to pull out.. and the engine just lost all spark.. i went to restart it.. and there was a HUGE power drain.. then i got a jump and it started back up... only to stall again about 30 seconds later... ever since then... no spark...

so i scan my car with my genisys scanner... and it says cel code 0335... crank shaft position as we all know.. so i order one directly from mitsu.. and i put it in.. still no spark... i've searched the forums.. all the test your sensors section... even printed it all out... and i've gotten nowhere except all my sensors are ok... and i still no spark.. i'm ready to blow my brains out at this point....

checked the ECU.. nothing wrong (to the naked eye)
checked CAS (all voltage there in the right aspect)
checked PTr (all ok)
checked Coil (good resistance everywhere)
checked everything... the only thing left is trace all wires back to the ecu.. i did the red one off the CPS.. but no the blue or black yet... its pretty daunting since the red wire splits into two wires.. that split into two wires.. that split into two more.. rediculous...

my question now for the gurus.. what left do i do.. is there another ignition control module i don't know about... or is there a trick to tracing the wires.. or an ecu pinout that i can print .. or anything to make this less brain wracking...

thanks and i appreciate all feedback...

i gots some more questions about my 99 GSX when i'm done here... i got no 2nd 4th or R .. and its not my linkage... its like a physical blockage in my tranny... and i read about the one guy 98GSX havin the same problem.. but he just stopped posting all of a sudden and never found out what it was...

thanks guys.... this site rules... its been invaluble in my last 4 yrs as a dsm student...

the car is turning over right, just not starting. i seen where u said u got a jump and it started right up. if jumping it starts it i would say ## not getting enough voltage to power most of ## sensor that u need because 1. u have a bad battery or cell in the battery or 2. ## have a bad ALT.

car cranks like its goin outta style... outrageous voltage... spins the motor like a dryer... just no spark... the power drain has gone completely away, brand new altenator, and battery... ??? i'm leanin towards a bad wire... just wondering if one wire or the other was prone to corrosion or not.. :banghead:

dsm wisemen.. pls help me out here.... i'm lookin for a harness diagram .. or common water spots on the harness... any tips or any one ever have this... or is a bad sensor from the factory... does that happen much???

You could check the power transistor which actuates the coil. It's a little black box, not too sure where it is on the 2g's. If this were to malfunction, you would have no spark.

If you're going to open up the ecu, it's a pretty straightforward diagnosis. If it stinks like fish or there's black sticky stuff all over the board or you can see burn marks, then you have a problem.

Good luck.
