No you do not need slim fans. VRSF makes a really nice short route front mount for the 1g.

I use the ETS short route and I love it great quality and performance! As for the fans I would buy a dual fan with a shroud doesn't have to be a 300$ pair of flex-a-lite fans, ive herad good things about the mitshimoto fans and there on sale. My stock fans recently broke off a blade which toke out my radiator in the process so from experience don't go the cheap way out.

For our cars I belive the stock fans are best.
I use the ETS 10.5" comes with short route custom made piping and its amazing if you have the $800-$1000.

The stock fans are pretty good.

My plan is a aluminum radiator, stock passenger side fan and the driver side AC fan to be a always on slim fan so I can run AC in the summer while in traffic. We will see how it goes, I am hopeful.

For now I only have the passenger side fan and its fused to come on when ever my key is turned, I'm going to add the 2nd fan and have a hard wired switch to turn it on and off from inside the car, so i only use on hot days or when I'm running someone. :hellyeah:

I have deleted AC but in cali during the summer ill take the 4hp cut, im putting the AC back in!
