what are the coolest things youve seen done for free/ cheap as far as asthetics?

pics and links please?

Lambo dors? what are you talking about...?

Just no, please no lambo doors.... that puts down DSM reputations (just my opinion).....

oh my bad i must have clicked something from your galler that took me to another picture.... srry what do you mean by hd lips?

Search for "home depot lip" and you will see what he is talking about. Other than that, a vrsf fmic isnt extremely expensive and looks amazing while giving performance fwiw.

Bought it off my buddy he had fines to pay it was an one day special LOL went around and sold it. also got a set of 18 rims for $50

saw an intake made out of plumbing piping LOL. i also saw IC pipes made out of it too, but that was on a BMW. guy kept blowing the pipe off when he went on the track LOL

An oil catch can made from an energy drink bottle, 2 vacuum lines, some quiksteel, nozzles for the vacum lines, and a vented filter.

If you have dull headlights take rubbing compound to them it'll make em shine like new. Also learning to polish metal is fun. Learning to fiberglass is another way to add a custom look to your ride by making guage pods and things of the sort. I've thought about learning to carbon fiber it's much like fiberglassing. Also cleaning and painting your wheels can make your car really stand out and oh how I love tire wet. Speaking of Home depot They sell wire mesh there cheap. Also autozone sells carbon fiber film, I've done a few small parts in the CF film and had good results. That should get you started.

Wet sand the lights first. I think I did 800gr then 1500gr (or similar) way back when, then elbow grease and Mothers Mag Polish.

Antenna delete. Un screw antenna and fill with plumbers kalk. paint black to match spoiler. :D

The coolest free mod out there would have to be the vacum lines delete!! Engine bay looks a bit cleaner, less boost/vacum leaks to worry about and depending on the age of your lines and the function of the valves that the vacum lines are connected to, you could pic up from 1 to even 4 in/hg. This could mean a slight increase in gas millage and more power under boost!!!! Maybe 1 to 2 in/hg might not mean too much for some but if you are running more agressive cams, these couple of inches of mecury can really make a difference at idle and take offs. Thinking that I had vacum leaks and such, I went ahead and replaced all the vacum lines in my engine bay. Vacum didn't change at all. Stayed the same. I then decided to delete the vacum lines and sure enogh, i picked up a couple of inches of vacum.
This cleaned up the engine bay a little. So that would be your asthetics enhancement. I also picked up a bit more vacum which could help with gas millage and a bit more power under boost. So there is your fuel economy and performance enhancements.
Because of this, I say that the vacum lines delete mod deserves the title as the "best bang for free, free modification title".

A guy in my town with a rsx-s decided to make an intake out of plumbing pipes from home depot....it works but looks like sewage is suppose to go through it

haha, sadly I had done the same when I put a hole in my injen intake from shifting. One of the straps broke and moved the pipe too close to the transmission. So while I shipped it out to have it replaced, HD pipe had to be a temporary solution.

wtf LOL

$8.00 bucks and some elbow grease n your good to go. Brasso?? I'll have to give that one a try.

Yep Brasso..If I recall correctly it's like 1.89 at your local Lowes,HD, Menards..I use an old sock(cause its free, and paper towel rips) and some elbow grease..I just did this to my headlights last weekend..Looks basically new..It helps a little more if you take the headlight out,and do the top and bottom..But for a quick 5 minute job just doing the front of the lens definitely brightens them up..

So I looked the brasso stuff up and it seems that it's only for metal. Is that what you used?
