what are some cheap or free Interior/Exterior mods

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Another thing that really brings it back to life is to relpace any worn/broken parts in the interior. Get rid of those old floor mats, replace that worn out carpet, replace seats if necessary, and replace those broken dash pieces and handles.

go to a nearest car wash or your self do a complete detail inside, wash carpet, seats, armor all interior :)

I just painted my wheels and tinted the tailights out and it looks like a whole new car.. ooh and also debadged it.

A good cleaning of the headlights (or buying new ones altogether) make a huge difference and it's cheap as well. Also: redoing the headliner (if it's sagging)and painting the dashboard, door panels and interior black (if it's gray). Take a trip to a junkyard, you'll find many interior parts :thumb:

just wondering if there are some easy cheap or free mods to make my 1990 eagle talon look a bit sportier in the Interior/Exterior

One thing you can do is your side panels and shift boot in a different fabric if you want. I did mine in leather that i got from a leather shop for free( his scraps). And all you need is a sewing machine or you can do it by hand but its a good upgrade that I thought was worth it and makes my car look a lot better.

O One other thing is you can change your gauge cluster from that stock orange to white if you want. Its very simple to do ill post something up in the next few days. Its a cool upgrade that i like and can see the gauges a lot better

Also sand down your outside pass and driver window trim and paint it flat black. Get rid of the flakey black pieces.

did that thanks looks better now :thumb:

i would love to change the light to white instead of orange im sick of it a tutorial would be awesome thanks :thumb:

I do have a ricey spoiler . And bodykit skirts and I have a bomex front bumper ( free since my oem one broke and I didn't have anywhere to fix it at the time nor did I have the time ) But it's ok :p I like being called a ricer now because once winter breaks i'm finally going to drop my injectors and turbo in ( provided I save the right money ) already bored .20 forged internals greddy fmic greddy full exhaust ,eprom ecu ,getting a GM maf because I'm not looking for HUGE speed .type s bov , probably switching it our for hks or tial.

if you ask me i like the way your car looks i personally like the bomex kit and the wing :thumb:

Lower it, tint the windows, paint the wiper cowl as mentioned, and look into a set of rims or you can paint them. I did the sleep eyes on my 1g for a while and I liked it but my headlights back to functioning stock now. A FMIC is a performance mod but it also helps with exterior looks.

i have a set of 18in rims just need tires for them but for the mean time i just painted the stock rims flat black and i already have installed a fmic for performance but it also looks great :thumb:

for your bov go HKS thats what i have and if you ask me its one of the best sounding/ functional bov on the market but make sure you either get the racing ssqv or the ssqv3 which is what i have :thumb:

At least you guys are recommending HKS-squeakers in the Appearance section...

Don't paint them flat black, re-paint them with Black Plasti-dip spray. It keeps the stock look, and handles wear much better. Just like stock!!

Ill do that today and post it tonight. Its very simple to do. I did mine in about an hour. There were some difficulties that i will point out when im doing it that i noticed when i was doing the mod.:thumb:

Antoher thing i learned that if you put tire shine on them it will keep them looking grat and may help restore them if there not to destroyed.

I agree with most of the other posts. I like to use never dull on anything i can shine up under the hood, rims, exterior trim. Removes the oxidation and if you do it long enough makes it shine.

honestly 9 times out of 10 on these cars the carpet is in horrible condition not always but most of the time so if you took the time to clean/ replace it or even dye it it makes a huge difference
