So I looked the brasso stuff up and it seems that it's only for metal. Is that what you used?

This mod was free for me, as I already had the materials in the garage. It would cost less than 10 bucks, though. I found the cleanest way to cut the plastic was with a box cutter. This improves air flow considerably for those of you who still have the SMIC or have relocated your oil cooler to this spot.
And yes, I'm aware of hydrolock; No, I do not drive me car in the rain.
...i dont think you are going to hydrolock your car by getting water on the intercooler.

Yep Brasso..If I recall correctly it's like 1.89 at your local Lowes,HD, Menards..I use an old sock(cause its free, and paper towel rips) and some elbow grease..I just did this to my headlights last weekend..Looks basically new..It helps a little more if you take the headlight out,and do the top and bottom..But for a quick 5 minute job just doing the front of the lens definitely brightens them up..
