Compressor housing

Was going to go external off o2, just wanting to get rid of the jpipe from my pr intercooler.

Thanks for the quick reply.

all 16g's are mitsubishi turbos essentialy. the subaru just has a different exhaust housing and compressor housing. the center section is the same so i dont see why it wouldnt work. youll just lose the internal wastegate as stated above. a few people have just fabbed up a bracket that goes around the inlet to hold the wastegate if needed.

Didn't know if this was going to be some chinese knock-off that would "maybe" work. But looks like its numbered like a oem mitsu cover.

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't you just clock your evo III MHI compressor housing downwards since you're not going to use an internal wastegate? It'll save you buying another compressor housing and do the same thing. You can even add a boost source to it like the one you intend on buying. It's cheaper and you get to use parts you already have.

Thread with instructions on clocking it:

If you can weld, you could even keep the internal wastegate

PS: Please merge with http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/413844-compressor-houising.html seems very similar.

I know it could just be clocked, but wouldn't you still have to get a setup for where the jpipe attaches to work. Looking to just use a silicon coupler for the housing to intercooler. Trying to eliminate one possible leak.

i just plan on clocking mine. im going to clock it so it first down. then cut the j-pipe at a spot it points where i want it. then just never remove the j-pipe nub. it will add a couple inches to the outlet but shouldnt be in the way and most of the time the nub would never come off.
