i did a a/t to m/t swap on a 99 gsx and i would like to know where i splice the wires on the clutch switch? i would like to set up my two step launch.

Well then set up your 2 step. You have dsmlink?I am pretty sure you dont need the clutch wire thats only for NLTS.You can setup the 2 step without it.If you need the wire for ecmlink its for nlts then you wire it to the cruise control switch. It shows you how on the ecmlink site.

No your need a clutch switch to use lauch control... You need a switch first off.. I dont have cruise so i just cut the black/red wire and sent that wire to pin 91 on the ecu and walla..

If you dont have a clutch switch, junkyard and then im almost positive it works off a ground but the dsmlink forums would be a better place to ask the serious. If it does then ground the black wire and then send the red wire to the ecu.. If it works off a hot the repeat with a hot to the black wire..

I did notice that you can activate it under a certain mph but i did the switch the 2nd day i had link and used it since then... I really think you need the switch... But i could be wrong..

NLTS? how does the computer know when the clutch is fully engaged without the sensor?

Yes, I think that your right oops.Well I wasnt sure if I had launch control without installing my wire because I was pretty sure I used it before I installed my wire.Sorry for the mis information I wasnt thinking. But go to ecmlink.com and look up how to wire the switch they will show you how.NLTS is no lift to shift.

No I am right the wire is just for NLTS because the launch control is based on the speed sensor once you are over the set speed the rev limit is disabled.I remember because you can use launch control in nuetral. If we are talking about dsmlink....

Well my launch control ONLY works when my clutch is depressed.. DSMLINK v2.5... I can free rev my car without the clutch engaged but if i depress it i will hit antilag and hit my lauch limit

Yeah it will hit my rev limit at a free rev but it gets disabled at 7mph.Thats what it is set at.I am on v3 but I am pretty sure you can not use antilag or nlts without the wire. But the basic launch limit should work.

According to the ECMlink site you only need to have the clutch cable hooked up if your doing "no lift to shift."
