Clutch Pedal Adjustment

Ok exactly how do i do this. I see the bolt, well i can feel it. I have the wrench. Do i tighten and loosten it to make it stiffer? My clutch is engaging right on the floor and its annoying as shit. Well it gets really stiff right at the floor. So just tighten and loosten it? Which way brings the pedal up off the floor?

loosen the locking nut and screw the rod out ( towards the firewall) to raise the engagement point.

you might have to use a pair of pliers to back the rod out though.

Make sure you apply the pliers to the part that's squared, not threaded to insure you don't screw up the threads. And each full rotation does make a big difference, make sure you tighten the locking nut also so it doesn't come out of adjustment.

could i just grab right in the middle of the rod? between the firewall and lockign nut ?

It will be right past the thread. There is a part where two of the sides are flat instead of curved, so you can use a wrench or pliers to grab the rod and turn. Just take your hand and feel for it.
