hey guys I’m having a issue putting all 4 bolts back into my clutch. I can only get one in and then the other 3 won’t align at all with the rest it’s mind boggling but if anyone has a solution let me know or maybe I’m doing it wrong. Side note: I didn’t replace my flex plate can that be the issue??

Did you remove the flexplate from the engine? I remember thi happening to me, I believe I installed the metal ring on the flexplate backwards.

Yea I had removed the flex plate thinking it was the flywheel but Is this how the plate is supposed to go on??

The washer/spacer does not go between the crank and flexplate. I'm also pretty positive its impossible to install the flexplate to the crank backwards because the bolts are unevenly spaced on the crank so it only bolts on 1 way.

The 4 bolts you were originally having an issue with is because the flywheel and flex plate also only bolt together 1 way. It looks like you got everything off so lay the clutch/flywheel set-up on the ground and place the flexplate over it. Turn it until all 4 holes are aligned and then mark 1 set of them so when you go to install it you match those up and all your other holes will line up too.

I did it now it’s just time to torque down my flex plate again and get it on but do the two holes not matter if they don’t align with the two holes on the clutch?
