Price....power=dsm said:whats wrong with using oem bearings?

I pay $30 for M77 rod and main bearings everytime I buy them. How much are OEM's? More than double I would bet.
This is an expensive hobby - money saved (regardless of amount) is a big deal to me. I don't want to spend $80 on Mitsu bearings when I can spend $30 on Clevites, which have an equal reputation for quality and functionability.DNA666 said:Sounds trivial considering the investment in a rebuild.
Big Woo said:I would agree that spending more dollars on Mitsu bearings is not worth it. Having built nearily fifty DSM motors I have used Mitsu, Clevite, King, ACL, Vander Vell, and FM bearings. Some I like better than the OEM stuff, but some I do not, however I can aquire all of them for less than the OEM stuff.
If he bought them 2 years ago, then they were probably the triMetals (the P's).project_tsi said:Kyle are these the P's or Al's?
