Hi all, was wondering if there was a way to get more engine bay real estate by either slimmer fan shroud or a slimmer radiator that mounts under the front IC frame. I need to run my 2.5" IC tubing to my intercooler on the passenger side as right now its hanging down below the sub frame is dangerously close to the ground. I would love to put the radiator a full 1" back if possible. Thanks for your thoughts.

I run my SPAL with the factory wiring. Some like to run bigger wires claiming that the stock wires are not big enough but they actually run my 12" SPAL and a 12" no name. I am running mine as pushers for engine bay room. All you really need is a plain jane relay, wire it up to the fan from the battery for the positive then run the negitive to the relay and ground the other side of that relay so that when the relay is energized it completes the ground circuit and then energize the relay with any switch, be it your factory on switch or one of your dash switches (mine will come on when I turn the A/C button on, but I have no A/C) or a toggle that is hot when the ignition is turned on. Hope this was helpful.

Yes! Extremely helpful. Thank you so much. I feel much better about ordering it now. Did you need to order any of the brackets listed on that page as well?

"So you're running the HTA86 with a sidemount intercooler? Hope it's not a stock one..."

Hey, no, its aftermarket, not sure which one, but the tuner didn't seem to have a problem with it at 400 HP.

Ohh, its not a sidemount, but a FMIC, just have intake on driver side that routes back to the passenger side unfortunately.

Got'cha... That's kind of what I figured out after I posted, so I deleted my post. Sorry for the added confusion and good luck with the new setup.:thumb:

Yes you will need a bracket kit. I am an Electrical Eng so I thought their "kit" was to high so I wired my own. My brackets are push thru the radiator type and they work fine with push on tabs on the back. My SPAL is a straight blade 12" pusher and the one you are looking at appears to be a bit thicker than mine with bigger but less blades. It looks like a very good fan, I hadn't seen the bigger blade models, but I needed THIN since I was mounting between the factory oil and PS coolers as a pusher.

Awesome, thanks again for your help. I'll post pictures back here once I get it all hooked up for anyone coming across this problem.

Always good to see results. Good luck!!! :thumb:
