so for a about a week now my car wont start in the morning (the battery has juice just not enough to turn motor over) as soon as i jump start it, it turns right on...
during the day the car will turn just fine

all electrical seems to work ok lights, radio, ect.

i relocated my battery to the back with 4g wire... i had kragen test the battery and they said it was fine... i dont think its the alt cause i replaced it not to long ago and i tried the wire test to see if that was the problem but nothing happened plus remember car runs fine during day or under constant driving.

so i know something has to be draining it during long periods car is off.

by the way a guy in kragen said i could be the "cold crank sensor" do we have such a thing?

It may just be that the battery is worn out and it won't crank in the morning because it is so much colder.

What's the CCA on the battery and we dont' have that sensor.. Will it start in the afternoon even if it's not driven at all during the morning i.e. no time to charge.

Check the voltage after you park then check it again after letting it sit overnight and up until the afternoon. That'll let you know if you have a drain on the system somewhere.

well so far its 50/50 if i hasnt been driven in morning sometimes it wont and like this afternoon for example it did... the CCA are like +100 than the automatic so i know its enough to start the manual (mine) like 560cca i think (cant see the label) its a C7 diehard battery from sears.

oh in a bit ill post up some pics ... my alt had two of the bolts that hold it together completely loose...OMG... i just re tighten them.

could this be a reason?

well i dont have a tester or volt gauge to keep track of it but i think it would be the battery.

like i mentioned before its in the back and its the regular kind of battery (water filled) could it be it went bad because of lack of ventilation?...

also i had a sound system and my amp just went bad i think it was caused by the battery but idk just though i mentioned it.

get a test light, hook the test light to a ground then to negative of battery if it lights up you have a short.

Then charge you battery to the max, get a multimeter and check battery voltage while unhooked, hook it up and check voltage again. IF it drops then you have a short. All you have to do is pull a fuse the run to the back ans see whether its back up again, the fuse that causes it to raise up is the culprit, now you have a starting point to figure out where the short is, good luck.

ok so for starters when i test the battery with a test light its with the car of right? (sorry just really suck at electrical)

and if it dont light up should i not bother doing the rest?

if after the first test i get lucky and no light turns on does it mean new battery?

I'm not sure about the test light, but a simple 5 second test with a voltmeter will tell you if you have a drain on the battery, which would make it tougher for the car to start after sitting all night.

locate fuse from power lock and remove charging u battery leve u car overnight and check next day i have same problem my battery drain overnight now is fine just no have power lock :)

start your car and remove the negative from the battery that should test if the alternator is working.
NEVER do this! This will blow the regulator in the alternator real quick since it needs the battery to operate!

What you do is take a VOM meter, set the thing on DC voltage, start the car and put the leads across the battery to see if you're getting 13.8vdc out of the alternator.

If not, the alternator is bad.. but NEVER do the cable disconnect thing unless you like replacing alternators on a regular basis.

Could be that your starter is going bad but check your battery first. Check the wiring from your battery to the starter as well. Did you make a new ground for your starter after moving the battery to the trunk?

yea i did make a new ground ... i sanded a section to bare matal and put a battery terminal wire from there to neg post of battery.

Start with what he said... Report your results back here.

Where did you sand a section to bare metal? Did you run a ground wire from the starter all the way to the neg terminal of the battery?

no i grounded the starter to the firewall (sanded to bare metal) and in the back i put it on the ps wall were the spare tire goes...

i think its the cold weather that is cauzing this problem because today and yesterday car started fine during the day but i notice that at night comming from work car hesitated a lil on colder weather.

Test the EGR solenoid and try to remove the EGR valve from your intake manifold and see if its clogged (looks like a mini BOV on the pass side of the manifold if you didn't know). Have you done what DSM1G90 said to do?

why would it be my EGR system? im sure its electrical (mainly battery or alt.) cause if it dont turn on as soon as i jump it, it starts right up.

no i havent tested it yet i will today though and report back.

so far its been turning on this weekend , Monday, and today just fine so i think it was the bolts that were causing this problem.

Do you actually want help or not? Did you run the battery voltage test?? If not- why are you still posting here?

Batteries lose their charge in cold weather faster- this is why it's part of the "winter checkup" you see on tv so often.
