Okay so my car runs fine until boost kicks in. If I push it to where boost kicks in, the car will just shut off completely. Ill be in mid drive then bam, no power steering no nothin. Why does this happen?

Check your MAF. the car usually turns itself off if the signal is interrupted. Make sure that its plugged in all the way and that no wires are torn.

Thats the thing, its been unplugged for awhile now and never shut off. I finally plugged it in yesterday and its shutting off now. It seems fine, no tears in the wires or anything..none that i see atleast.

Test for boost leaks next, also the wires, transistor, ect. You may not be getting spark under high RPMs, only thing that comes to mind at the moment.

Well if your car was running "fine" before you plugged in the MAF then maybe the maf itself is bad, when was the last time you did maintence?? Could solve alot of problem, get new oil change and filter, new NGK plugs with gapping. Check fuel system too.

Like someone said before, if your MAF makes the car run poorly when plugged in, but better unplugged, then your MAF is bad.

Bad maf makes sense... I have one laying here if you're interested... super cheap, just pm me if you want it. Good luck!
