Car starts but shuts off

I am looking to buy a gsx and I found one for 5k only issue is the seller said that the car turns on but shuts off right after. It is a 97 gsx does anyone know how to fix it? Should I buy it? Seller says it ran last month.

Usually if it was an easy fix the seller would have fixed it.

Have you checked it for rust?
How many miles on it? What type of mods? Basicly, the same set of questions that come up each time you ask about buying a used DSM.

It may also be as simple as a leaky fuel pressure regulator (on drivers side of fuel rail) so fuel pressure is not maintained when engine is turned off.
