Hey everyone. So my car ran great and I decided to do some upgrades:

3.5" Maf / Maft setup
JMFab SMIM
FP exhaust mani
650 injectors, etc.

Now, I know there are two vacuum ports on the intake that are open and the BOV vac. line is not hooked up. But I decided to see if it will start up. It starts up runs for maybe 2-5 seconds and shuts back off. Would having these vacuum ports open cause this or should I be looking at other things like the maft or something being screwed up. Possibly recalibrating for the bigger injectors with the SAFC since I might be getting too much fuel flooding it out at idle?
Thanks for any help
-Jeff

The BOV vac line needs to get hooked up. And you need to setup the SAFC for your current setup. Now on the intake your talking about the bcs and crankcase hook up right? if so you can just block the bcs one off and a catch can of the crankcase line. whats your vac reading when it idles for 5 secs? you def need to get your maft setup right...did you get the knobs on the translator setup or did you just put it on and leave it alone?

I will be hooking up the BOV tomorrow I ran out of vacuum hose. The SAFc is set up for 550 injectors off my old setup. I really didnt want to mess with it too much since I am installing the Evo VIII ecu next week. The two vacuum ports that are still open are the ports that JMFab put on the bottom of the intake manifold. One will be the BOV, the other I have to use a cap. I can't tell what my vac. is becuase I am installing a AEM tru boost tomorrow and I disconnected my boost gauge. I also just found out that my AFPR lines are mixed up, I forgot how they went and of course I got the 50% chance wrong LOL. The MAFT lights up for a second then disappears like its suppsed to so I dont believe its that. I may try leaning the Low throttle in the SAFC and seeing if that helps...

Problem is resolved. thanks for the help man, I hooked the vac. lines up, hooked up the AFPR correctly and one of the mode switches on the MAFT was off and should have been on. Runs perfect now starts right up idles great. Thanks again!
