I've been working on my car for months now and no matter what u do seems to help for a day then car goes back to the way it is. I have a 95 eclipse gs. I replaced the ecu which helped the car run and stay running but now it shuts off. A new walbro 255 fuel pump so it's not that I can hear it running. I dont know how to check the cam and crank sensor to see if there bad or not. But I don't think it's them because then the car wouldn't even start at all or am I wrong about that? Any help would be great thanks

When you replaced fuel pump did you replace fuel filter also can cause some problems. Also have you or has a compression test done. My buddy had a car that we got running but wouldn't keep running did a compression test and one of the cylinders' where dead got a 0 reading. I would just do these first couple of diagnostics real quick check for fuel to fuel rails and check the condition of your spark plugs and if they are firing correctly and do a compression test. that's all you need to run right there if the ecu is good and your timing is correct then something there is missing or you have one huge vacuum leak somewhere. lets see if we can not get this car up and running just missing some information of whats already been done diagnostic wise.

Could also be voltage drop at the ECU due to dirty/corroded grounds. If the ECU doesnt see enough voltage, it shuts itself off after 2-4 seconds. measure with a multimeter. Im having issues with one that does that and i unplug the ecu and replug a few times and it starts and keeps running.
