Cant figure out what the knock is.

I Currently own a 95 Talon tsi FWD and I just bought this car late March 2013.
When I bought the car from the owner, she ran just fine. No problems. Drove her about 60 miles back home and then suddenly the car started acting up.

When I start the engine, right away, the car knocks super loud. Like non stop.
This knock will go on forever. I found a loose rod bearing and decided to replace all of the rod bearings. I found some tiny metal pieces like shredded inside my oil pan. Replaced oil with SYN.
After replacing the rod bearings, the car is still knocking. I do not know what the problem is.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I START INVESTING MONEY INTO THE CAR.

sooo you just replaced one rod bearing? maybe another is bad.

what do these pieces look like. silver metal? brass? some pics would help.

if the bearing spun on the crank then the rod and crank got damaged .

I agree with Lou98gsx. If you spun a rod bearing then more than likely the rod and crank are damaged and a new bearing wont fix it. The rods and crank would need to be removed and taken to a machine shop to be measured to see if it could be repaired by cutting it or you will need a new one. The same goes for the rod also.
