Whats up, I'm curently running a R&D chip in this set up, with 850cc injectors, a small 16g walbro 255 and aeromotive fpr, 3g MAF. Ive been getting knock on the stock boost guage and havn't figured out why yet. My a/f is 10.9 at WOT and i just changed the knock sensor (it was toast), also tried retarding the timing to reduce the knock but it doesnt change at all, ive seen it spike all the way to 14 on the guage but usually its around half way anytime I hit 15 psi or more, 14 psi and no knock what so ever. anyone have any ideas on what to try next? thanks

well isnt phantom knock only at less than 40% throttle or something? Yes its the stock boost guage as a knock sensor now.

I'm using 93 octane, and when the guage stock boost guage is maxxed out as a knock guage thats like 40 points or something, so if it was knocking wouldnt i be able to hear it knocking?

I'm running a godspeed fmic, the timing im not quite sure. I think he set it like 20 over or under or something. Ill have to look at my pm's and find it

I'm running 23 lbs on 91 octane and not getting any knock so there is definitely a problem. Whats your IAT and timing look like? Are you sure you're only running 15 psi? Maybe your boost gauge is off?

On the chip info he sent me its timing curve ( lower peak to 20* and smooth). as for the boost guage I guess it could be wrong, its at 0 when the car isnt running and about 10 vac at idle.

Yea running only -10 at idle isnt good it should be somewhere around -20, which either means a faulty gauge or you have some motor issues that need to be addressed.

Do you have cams? I just checked your profile but its empty. If you have stock cams your vacuum at idle should be around -20 inHg like nightmares mentioned.

The most timing I see in a pull is about 14* advanced and its even lower during peak boost.

This may sound stupid but after I purchased a keydiver chip a while bacl I discovered thay the 850cc injectors I bought were really 750's. I did figure it out after my first pull with the new chip installed.

I dont know how to check the cams bit I think it does have different ones, it sounds like a v8 at idle but the a/f is good at idle. Last night I did some pretty extreme adjustments on the ignition timing and it does change the knock, advancing makes it worse and retarding it helps a good bit. Also my idle is kind of high (around 1200-1500 so it doesnt cut off after getting on it. how would i check my boost guage to see if its wrong?

Try a known working one. My Autometer boost gauge reads 3 psi high and I never knew until I switched to speed density using a MAP sensor.

Ok, I retarted my timing even more and now i can get 20 psi with no knock, just dont have any power haha
