So last Monday my car "98 gsx" would squeal every time I would start it in the morning. Now this past Saturday I was going down the highway and it started to smoke/produce steam. We pull of and you can smell coolant. Now there is oil in my coolant. Now its squealing whenever I start it or start to move from a stop.

The temp gauge doesn't go up. But my oil pressure gauge goes every which way when I start it. And no lights on the dash come on. And theres is no smoke coming from my exhaust

We took it to two mechanics and neither of them could do anything. On guy said "I don't think its the head gasket" But yeah I'm just stumped right now. Any help would be appreciated. I want to say its the head gasket but the mechanics say otherwise

if theres coolant in your oil it sounds like the head gasket, and coolant may be getting on your belts causing them to squeal.

Ok I'll take a stab at it maybe the water pump was shot or the belt, you drove on them in this condition they failed causing the water pump not to function, the car overheated and caused the head gasket to fail and leading to the coolant in your oil? Just a guess its hard to say how you ended up here from wear I am sitting, but with that said I would check out that water pump before you have the head gasket replaced make sure it rotates freely and think about having the tensions pulleys replaced when the timing belt is off.

Headgasket, I personally recommend Cometic head gaskets, very good quality product.

i agree with kev_tsi...check to see if your water pump spins freely and see what lead up to your head gasket giving out. it would suck if you replaced your head gasket and didn't fix the problem that lead up to it blowing and then having to replace it again. i would go with a cometic head gasket.
