Can i reach 450 awhp with this?

Sorry guys but i wont be able to go to the dyno tomorow because i have to work but my next day off im going im using my car with a basic street tune and it feels great so im sure i'll get good #s at the dyno
 
my friend has a setup almost the same and he is making 494hp, my friend is on 28psi on c16.i say u can make it but maybe on 24psi on pump gas should do it.
 
Can I asK why 450 is some magic number? did you get into a big dick contest with one of your buddies? (it happens) Is this car going to be a dyno queen?

There are lots of other factors that go into making your car fast in any type of racing look at kevin jewer who stopped using nitrous and got faster ET's by running his compound turbo setup. who cares how much power it makes if it doesnt have any traction or if it blows up? so just wondering what the end goal of this 450hp is
 
Well its quite possible too...im in the same boat as him..i made 370 on a 18g at 23psi but i also have 272's but a stock extrude honed intake and a fp race mani...i blew it and now have since shoved a 20g into the car and awaiting my rebuild at school...and i am running e85

Also why is a hp number your goal??? example i have a 05 dodge magnum with nitrous and cam and it put down down 486+hp but it doesnt run the number it should with drag radials..dialing it with a really good tune i made 420ish on a same shot and clicked off the number i never thought id see ever...but anyways back to subject...do you really realize how fast a 350 hp dsm is let alone 450??? And dd you say auto cross or was that somone else??? if it was you dont think you need 450 awhp for auto x just my .02 cents if im wrong sorry

he's AWD, im sure if it were spin it would be very minimal.

i dont see why people are askin "why 450hp?". does he really need an explanation of why he chose 450? a lot of people on here have a certain hp goal.
 
I spin my snow tires with my 16G and I'm AWD. But it is minimal and I have to lay into it. LOL

On dry pavement.
 
We started with good old 93 pump gas but when we reach 400hp i put 2gallons of q16 race gas, the car still was 1/2 full. Im excited about the numbers because i drove home after without any problems it behave like a new car, btw it made 389.2hp @20psi (in Puerto Rico we dont have e85)
 
Run a full tank of q16 push a degree or two more of timming and add some overlap in the cam timming, and surely you be over that 450 mark
 
Damn good results I'd say.:applause: I really didn't think you'd get that high, especially 389hp at 20psi. I have a similar setup with my 20g running at 25psi and I really didn't think I was making much over 350hp @ the wheels, but now you've got me thinking.:hmm: Maybe it's time to put mine on a dyno.:D Just curious, what kind of dyno was this on?
 
Its a Mustang dyno its a new model i think it has a feature that you can run a quarter mile in it, but the dyno operator told me that the difference between the mustang and the dyno jet is 10% of the reading but idk about that
 
Damn, as far as I know the Mustang dyno reads a little lower than some others so again, congrats on making that kind of power. Now you've really got me wondering about my car.:hmm:

These mods are why you will reach 650awhp. Forget the 450awhp.
 
Im late to the thread but you should be able to get there.

My 20g at 22psi with no head work or anything was sitting around 330whp in my talon.
I had cams/springs/retainers to go in. + Bigger injectors on E85 and 28-30psi and I know I would of been in the 450whp ballpark but I sold my talon before I did that, bad mistake.. love my laser but that talon was a gem
 
my setup is very close to yours ( except im on a stock intake, and my td05 turbine is clipped 20*, and im running e85). i made 467 awhp @ 28psi on a dyno jet. im attaching a log ( dsmlink) so you guys can see parameters (airflow, intake temps, timing, afr's, etc)

ps. this log was made 2 days prior to my dyno day. maf califration is underestimated by about 1-2 lbs/min ( waiting for my map sensor to come in LOL)

I want to reach my goal on pump gas because in PR we dont have e85 and my car is a DD so race gas is not an option, but i can use it on track days as an octane booster. 467whp with a 20g man those are awesome numbers . I just gonna leave my car like this for now, to start tuning my coilovers and the rest of my suspension and get a paint job
