ok i have 95 gsx. motor was rebuilt 15k ago with oem replacment parts and put to stock. Since then i have put hard pips, fmic, t3 63mm turbo, apexi full exhaust, cold air, 38mm ext wg, greddy bov (recirculated of course) and oil pressure, innovate WB, and boost gauge of course.. well when i did all of this i was stupid and only put water in the cooling system (it was summer and i spaced it.. give me a bread) needless to say it froze over this past winter, and blew either a head gasket of cracked the head. still runs fine, just has alot of oil getting into the cooling system.

Since then i have aqquired a new block with scat rods, weisco pistons, arp head studs, ecm link full version, 1000cc pte, and two more heads for worst case scenario.. my goal is around 450 wheel tuned on e85. I will list the parts i am still in the process of purchasing below to reach that goal
-255 fuel pump
-balance shaft delete (already bought)
-water pump
-full gasket kit of course
-gates racing timing belt
-head gasket
and im sure im missing some stuff.

i cant afford to build the head at the moment, so its staying stock.

i can get everything else but i realllllly need help on choosing a head gasket. so ANY suggestions would be great. the local DSM FB page just turns into arguments so dsmtuners is my next option LOL.

Feel free to speak your mind on your honest opinions about anything youd like, ive put together a few, but never went for this kind of power. and another thing i am running open dump out the driver side of the bumper.

thats it for now, gotta leave work. once again i do consider myself to still be a newbie, so anything goes.. GO

Thank you in advance.

For 450 you will be fine with composite but since your all forged going mls might be the better route being that the engine will be capable for more if you decide to go beyond that. In all reality if I was going for 450 hp which I am I would use a 2g piston 6 bolt rod combo. At 500+ I would be shooting for the forged stuff like you have so at least you have room to upgrade with the mls. Im sure the composite can hold a lot but its peace of mind to have the mls.

On a side note I had a junkyard 6 bolt I had all forged internals and had the deck cut 1 time. I had removed the head several times to change my set up. I had changed the head gasket 3 times as well using an MLS and never had a bad HG issue and never cut the block after that. Aluminum moves a lot but cast iron does not so unless you over heat I would not cut a block more then once. I could still see the machining lines from it being cut after I cleaned the block surface.

alright guys, having a couple more small issues finding certain things ive been researching. im looking to delete my cruise control, ABS, relocate the battery to the rear and do some vacuum deleting.

I have found the vacuum deleting it seems pretty self explanatory. Just take crap out pretty much LOL

ABS is the one im still confused about.. do i literally just find a proportioning valve that's not meant for ABS and run a line to each front wheel LOL. ??

Battery relocation seems pretty simple, run big wire, get good grounds, bolt your battery down good for track purposes.

cruise control im kinda still in the dark with, and im sure its the easiest one...

so if anyone wants to put your 2 cents in go ahead. it will be much appreciated.

ok guys, ive decided to run dual fuel pumps.. any guidance on this? without spending the $400 on a kit LOL.

i tried to search this, but damn its nearly impossible to search on this forum it seems like anymore.
